Caring for Leather and African-Print Accessories

Handcrafted accessories are made to be used and enjoyed. A little regular care helps leather and fabric pieces keep their shape, colour, and character over time.

Store them with care

Keep accessories in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. For structured bags and clutches, lightly fill the inside with clean tissue paper to help them hold their shape. Avoid hanging heavy pieces by a strap for long periods.

Clean gently

For leather, wipe dust away with a soft, dry cloth. For fabric surfaces, use a clean damp cloth and test a small inconspicuous area first. Avoid soaking, harsh cleaners, and rough scrubbing.

Keep them dry

If a piece gets wet, blot it gently and allow it to air-dry naturally at room temperature. Do not place it on a radiator or use a hair dryer, as direct heat can affect leather and fabric.

When in doubt, choose the gentlest option. Careful handling is the best way to keep a favourite piece in your rotation for years to come.
