Meet Uwakima Udom
Hi, I'm Uwakima, the founder and maker behind Uwakstar Designs. Uwakstar Designs began with a simple belief: the accessories we carry every day should tell a story. I wanted to create handbags and accessories that celebrate African artistry while fitting effortlessly into modern life — pieces that are bold enough to stand out, yet timeless enough to carry for years.
Every design is handcrafted in my Texas studio using carefully selected materials, from richly textured leather to vibrant African textiles. I pay close attention to every stitch, every edge, and every detail because I believe true craftsmanship is found in the finishing touches.
My goal has never been to follow fast fashion. Instead, I create thoughtfully made pieces that help women express their individuality with confidence and style.
