Meet Uwakima Udom
Based in Austin, TX, Uwakima started Uwakstar Designs with a pair of scissors, a passion for Ankara fabric, and a stubborn refusal to let African textiles be reduced to an aesthetic trend. What began as a creative outlet became a movement - one stitch, one print, one confident woman at a time.
She sources authentic Ankara prints and pairs them with genuine leather to create pieces built to last - accessories that carry meaning, not just your things.
